Business Ethic

General standards

Fair treatment

Urbanvex employees are expected to act fairly at all times. This includes not allowing undue external factors to interfere with the implementation of our fair-treatment policy and avoiding actions that might create a perception that suppliers or contractors have “a friend at Urbanvex” who could exert improper influence on their behalf.

No misrepresentation

Ethical behavior is deeply rooted in honesty, and trustworthiness plays a critical role in developing strong, long-lasting relationships. Urbanvex employees may not misrepresent themselves, including their level of authority, or the company to anyone. We require our suppliers to adhere to these expectations.

Proprietary and confidential information

Urbanvex respects the confidentiality of proprietary information received from suppliers and contractors, and Urbanvex employees will not improperly use or disclose such information. Likewise, when suppliers have access to information that is proprietary to Urbanvex, we expect them to protect and maintain its confidentiality as well.

Gifts and entertainment

Urbanvex selects its suppliers and contractors based on the quality and value of the products and services they offer. It is the policy of Urbanvex to refrain from soliciting or accepting any gifts or gratuities that could potentially influence, or appear to influence, the decisions made by its employees regarding the selection of bidders for equipment or services. Consequently, suppliers and contractors are advised against providing any offerings to Urbanvex employees. While modest promotional items may be permissible, any gifts that exceed a nominal value, are intended to improperly sway an Urbanvex employee, or are otherwise prohibited by law will not be accepted by Urbanvex or its personnel.

Conflicts of interest

Employee participation in outside activities should not infringe on an employee’s ability to do his or her assigned Urbanvex job and may require advance approval. Urbanvex employees may not, as a general rule, be a supplier to Urbanvex or work for a potential supplier while employed by Urbanvex.
